Covid Regulation

The State of Qatar no longer requires any vaccine status or PCR/ antigen tests to enter the country. You can find any update on Covid policy on this page

Documents required to enter the country:

  • Passport valid 6 months after entering the country
  • Your Hayya Card (digital or printed)

Importing of goods

Importing drugs, e-cigarettes/vapes, alcohol, pornography, pork products and religious books and material into Qatar is illegal.

Doha is not really designed for pedestrians as most people use cars to travel from one place to another.

Uber is available in Doha/ Qatar and a good alternative to get around town

In the event of a medical emergency, call 999 for an ambulance

For non-life-threatening, urgent medical conditions, visit an urgent care unit at one of the following Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) hospitals:

  1. Sheikha Aisha bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital
  2. Al Wakra Hospital
  3. Hamad General Hospital

These urgent care units provide 24-hour walk-in care for patients with non-threatening medical needs, such as minor burns, sprains, severe headache or earache, high fever, dehydration and dizziness.
Fans can access emergency and urgent medical services at HMC facilities free of charge throughout the tournament. To receive these services free of charge, fans must present their Hayya Card to the healthcare facility. Open 7 days a week, from 7 AM-11 PM.

In case of emergency, the following specialised services are accessible for the deaf:

  • Call 992 using the 3G camera on your computer or mobile phone
  • Send an SMS to 992 clearly stating your problem and what service you need (ambulance, fire rescue, police), as well as your name, address and any details

Fans have access to a free-to-call multilingual fan support helpline that is operational 24 hours a day. Helpline numbers:

Please note that security and data protection issues have been identifed for the Hayya App:

"The Hayya app (…) has a number of critical aspects. Among other things, the app asks for access to share your personal information with almost no restrictions. In addition, the Hayya app provides access to determine the phone's exact location, prevent the device from going into sleep mode, and view the phone's network connections."

FIFA Fan Festival - Fan zones

The FIFA fan festival will be open from 19 November until 18 December and is located in the Al Bidda Park, next to the Corniche. To enter the FIFA Fan Festival you have to show your Hayya Card

Opening times

  • 19 – 20 November from 4 PM – 2 AM
  • 21 – 29 November from 11 AM – 2 AM
  • 30 November – 18 December from 4 PM – 2 AM

The festival will offer live hosts, match screenings, live music, and other festive activities.
